The Skills plugin brings a classic MMORPG-inspired skill system to Minecraft. Players improve skills through use, with a total skill cap that forces specialization choices.

Each stat ranges from 0 to 100 based on the average of its related skills.

Fall damage reduction: Skill% reduction (includes elytra crash)

Runes
Runes are magical items required for Mark, Recall, and Gate Travel spells. A blank rune must be marked with a location before use.
How to Obtain Runes
Combine Teleport Scroll + Amethyst Shard in your inventory:
- Pick up a Teleport Scroll with your cursor
- Click on an Amethyst Shard in your inventory
- A Blank Rune is created (works in either direction)
No skill required, 100% success rate.
Teleport Scroll sources: Mob drops (Witch, etc.), End City chests, Trial Chamber vaults, or craft with /scribe teleport
How to Use Runes

Runebook
A magical book that can store multiple runes for convenient travel. Works like a chest - freely move runes in and out.

Stack bonus is applied when:

Gathering System
Gathering skills provide bonuses when collecting resources. Higher skill means faster gathering, better drops, and reduced tool durability consumption.
Mining Skill
Mining skill covers both ore mining (pickaxe) and soft block digging (shovel).
Speed Bonus (Haste Effect)
When you start mining ores or digging soft blocks, a Haste effect is applied based on your skill.

Lumberjacking Skill

When you chop a log, adjacent logs of the same type are automatically chopped based on your skill level.

Chain Chopping Rules
- Target: Logs only (leaves are not destroyed)
- Range: Upward only (9 directions: up and diagonal-up) - does NOT chain downward
- Durability: Only consumed for the first block
- Stamina: No stamina cost
- Different trees: Only same wood type chains (Oak → Oak only)
- Axe required: No (works with bare hands too)
- Drops: Items drop at each log's position and fall naturally
- Processing: Distributed over multiple ticks (reduces server load)
Chain Chopping Behavior
- Cut at base: Entire tree is chopped
- Cut in middle: Only logs above the cut point are chopped (below remains)
- Cut near top: Only logs above that point are chopped
Fishing Skill
Fishing skill enables automatic fishing. When a fish bites, there's a skill-based chance to auto-reel and auto-recast.
Auto-Fishing System
- Manual Cast: Player casts the fishing rod manually to start
- Auto-Reel: When fish bites, skill% chance to automatically reel in
- Auto-Recast: After successful auto-reel, automatically recasts
- Loop: Continues until rod breaks or player stops manually

Note
Auto-fishing is a bonus feature. If auto-reel fails, you can still manually reel in the fish (vanilla behavior). The fish only escapes if you don't react in time.
Farming Skill
Harvesting mature crops triggers auto-replant and auto-growth based on skill level.

- Auto-Replant: When harvesting mature crops, automatically replants if you have seeds in inventory (consumes seeds)
- Auto-Growth: After planting, crops advance growth stages based on skill (no bone meal consumed)

Stat Lock Modes
The icon displayed next to each stat indicates its lock mode. When the stat total reaches the cap (225), increasing one stat requires decreasing another.

| ▼ | DOWN | Stat can only decrease. Prioritized for reduction when other stats need to increase |

Changing Lock Mode
Use /stats lock <str|dex|int> command to cycle through lock modes.
Cycle order: UP → DOWN → LOCKED → UP...
Example Builds
- Warrior Build: Set STR to UP, DEX to UP, INT to DOWN → INT decreases to raise STR/DEX
- Mage Build: Set INT to UP, STR/DEX to DOWN → STR/DEX decrease to raise INT
- Balanced Build: Set all to UP → Stats rise evenly (lowest stat decreases when at cap)
- Maintain Specific Value: Set desired stat to LOCKED → That stat won't change
Plugin Conflict Handling
The scoreboard.conflict_mode setting in config controls behavior when other plugins use the sidebar.
